Lost Rhapsody 2: Electric Boogaloo
About
Lost Rhapsody 2: Electric Boogaloo:
- After
spending part of 7 months creating the first Lost Rhapsody, I didn't
really know if I wanted to make another one unless I thought I could
significantly improve on the first one. In late July, I started thinking
about what kind of song could fit the second season of Lost as well as
the lyrics to Bohemian Rhapsody seemed to fit the first season.
- I
considered several songs before returning to another Weird Al polka medley,
"the Alternative Polka." Four months and over 10,000 frames of animation
later, I was finished with my second major flash movie. The video was
built entirely in Flash 6 using a combination of hand-drawn rotoscoping,
totally original artwork, and a few autotraced backgrounds. My Wacom
drawing tablet has been overused to the point that a 2-inch by 3-inch
pit has been gouged into the surface by the tip of the stylus.

I'm
always busy with new projects, and I developed a robot called
P.A.M.E.L.A. to help me with the production of Lost Rhapsody
2 and Dad
in a Box. Unfortunately, Pamela's core processor seems to reject
almost any task that isn't related to Lost, so I've loaned her to Speaker
and FunFairieGirl for their new weekly podcast where they review shows
for the previous week. Check it out!
